Professional Teeth Whitening

Our Brisbane Salon has been offering Professional In-chair Teeth Whitening now for the past 12 months and our highly trained team are getting some sensational results as you can see from the before and after images.

  • We whiten your teeth in less than 1 hour!
  • Our tooth whitening treatments deliver instant and long-lasting results!

Professional Teeth Whitening differs from home whitening kits in many ways and the results from both are dramatically different. Our Brisbane Teeth Whitening Salon is located in Annerly and parking is available on-site so you will not be hunting around for a car park.

Our professional service removes staining and discolouration from years of staining food and drink like red wine and coffee. We know how hard these things are to give up and that is why we are here.

You will be amazed when you see the lasting difference just an hour makes with our process. Just remember to limit dark foods and staining drinks in the first 48 hours after your treatment. We will give you a care card with your treatment that shows you everything you need to know about maintaining that new white smile.

Teeth whitening is a treatment that helps lighten teeth for more radiant smiles. The process removes stains and discolouration of your teeth. Our teeth whitening products contain peroxide (HP) gel that is applied to your teeth.

Our process begins with you being able to clean your teeth with our free toothbrushes then a 5-15 minute consultation where we assess your teeth and look at your current discolouration. You will then receive a bib to go around your neck and be led to our massage chairs where you will then place a cheek retractor to keep your lips away from your teeth during the procedure.

A specialized gel (6% Hydrogen Peroxide mixture) will then be applied to your teeth and a teeth whitening machine will then be placed in front of your mouth for 20 minutes per session. This machine shines a light that activates the gel on your teeth removing the discolouration on your teeth. The technician will monitor your progress at all times to ensure you are comfortable and not having any reactions.

After the machine is finished you will rinse out your mouth and the gel will be re-applied for the next treatment and so on.

We provide phone holders so you can keep entertained while the treatment is running or if you have a favourite podcast or music genre the technician will set up Spotify for you.

Feel free to lie back and relax in your massage chair for the sessions.

After the treatment is complete we will show you the results on our discolouration chart and you will be amazed when you look in the mirror.

NOTE: There are 3 sessions in a standard teeth whitening booking. This may be adjusted depending on your personal health circumstances or if you only require an express session.

Our Teeth Whitening treatment takes 60 minutes (3 x 20 minute sessions) plus the 5 – 15 minute consultation.

Our Express Teeth Whitening treatment is a 2 x 15-minute sessions plus the 5 – 15 minute consultation. If you feel you would like another 15 or 20-minute session then the technician will charge accordingly.

This depends on each individual and the extent of discolouration, generally from 5-14 shades lighter can be achieved. The more stained your teeth the more dramatic the result will be.

Teeth whitening whether done by a dentist or another technician will not whiten your tooth enamel the process will bleach the stains on the surface of your teeth. The results are also relevant to how regularly you have a teeth whitening procedure.

Teeth whitening is purely cosmetic and non-dental. The products we use are gentler than and just as effective as those used by the dentist. All our products are Australian compliant and produced to the highest standards.

Our specialists are highly trained and know the equipment extremely well. You are in safe hands.

Cosmetic teeth whitening does not negate the annual dentist check-up and descaling. You will have better results if you do have plaque and any superficial build up (eg. Tar from tobacco or similar).

We offer the latest whitening gel approved for use in Australia.  Our gel is gentle and safe, problems are extremely rare. Teeth Whitening is safe for crowns and veneers although these will not lighten as much as natural teeth.

Our technicians are trained to look out for possible issues with your current gum or teeth health. However, when going through the consultation form it is important to be upfront about any of the issues noted on the form.

Teeth whitening is a treatment most people want and can have, however, it is not recommended for children under 16 years of age or for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Do not have a teeth whitening treatment if you have gum disease or are requiring dental work.

Nothing but Water (complimentary bottles in the Salon) for the first hour at minimum.

The first 24 – 48 hours is where you definitely need to avoid any:

  • Acidic Foods / Drinks
  • Dark Coloured Food / Drink

What can you eat during that time?

  • Plain chicken
  • Fish
  • Rice
  • Pasta
  • Cauliflower
  • Potatoes
  • Bread
  • Bananas
  • White low-fat yoghurt

Do not eat/drink:

  • Bolognese
  • Soy sauce
  • Chocolate
  • Tomato sauce
  • Beets
  • Spinach
  • All fruit but bananas
  • Red Wine
  • Juices
  • Soft drink

If you’re unable to go without your red wine, coffee, soft drink, or juice please use a Straw to assist with avoiding the front teeth area.

Reusable straws are available in Salon.

You will be given a Vitamin E Swab after your session. If you find that your gums are sensitive (Which is likely to be for around 1-2 days) apply to any sensitive areas.

You will notice that your teeth are sensitive. Do not drink any hot or cold drinks in the first few hours. (All water provided in Salon is room temperature water).

For at least 2 days try to use a soft toothbrush and if possible use Sensitive Teeth Toothpaste (Sensodyne or similar).

Desensitiser gels will be available for purchase in store for those who feel they may require more assistance with sensitivity.

Flossing or any harsh gum or teeth cleansing is not recommended in the first 48 hours.

Ensure you follow what you can and can’t eat in those first 2 days to ensure that your teeth do not stain. The teeth will be more porous at this time and stains easier.

After 2 days you may return to your normal routine. Your normal routine is what may have caused staining to begin with. Being more vigilant with avoiding staining foods or keeping to a decent dental routine, the whitening can last up to a year or so.

Refer to “How often can I have Teeth Whitening Treatments” for more info.

Home Care Whitening kits available over the counter or at your local supermarket are available and cost anywhere between $25-50 and do assist in keeping the teeth whiter for longer when you return to your normal routine.

Rinsing your mouth as often as you can when you imbibe staining foods and drinks is proven to be helpful in maintaining your whitening.

While some salons may offer you to be able to return every 4-6 weeks at LashDash/WattASmile we consider both your Lash, Brow, Skin, and Dental health with the utmost importance.

A trained consultant will know that Dental Australian Standards recommend no more than 4 full whitening sessions a year. (every 12 weeks). 3, if the client has dental issues such as heavy sensitivity and other dental issues.

We have Express Sessions available (2×15 minute sessions) for those who would like to have whitening more often than every 12 weeks.  No less than 6-8 weeks will be allowed between appointments and will be assessed every appointment.

You will be educated on how to maintain your bright smile and/or how to improve the brightness in each session.
