The process removes stains and discolouration of your teeth. You will then receive a bib to go around your neck and be led to our massage chairs where you will then place a cheek retractor to keep your lips away from your teeth during the procedure.
A specialized gel (6% Hydrogen Peroxide mixture) will then be applied to your teeth and a teeth whitening machine will then be placed in front of your mouth for 20 minutes per session. This machine shines a light that activates the gel on your teeth removing the discolouration on your teeth. The technician will monitor your progress at all times to ensure you are comfortable and not having any reactions.
After the machine is finished you will rinse out your mouth and the gel will be re-applied for the next treatment and so on.
We provide phone holders so you can keep entertained while the treatment is running or if you have a favourite podcast or music genre the technician will set up Spotify for you.
Feel free to lie back and relax in your massage chair for the sessions.
After the treatment is complete we will show you the results on our discolouration chart and you will be amazed when you look in the mirror.

General rule: IF IT STAINS A WHITE SHIRT… THEN DON’T EAT IT AT MINIMUM IN THE FIRST 12-24 HOURS.
If you’re unable to go without your red wine, coffee, soft drink, or juice please use a Straw to assist with avoiding the front teeth area.

If you find that your gums are sensitive (Which is likely to be for around 1-2 days) apply to any sensitive areas.
You will notice that your teeth are sensitive. Do not drink any hot or cold drinks in the first few hours. (All water provided in Salon is room temperature water).
For at least 2 days try to use a soft toothbrush and if possible use Sensitive Teeth Toothpaste (Sensodyne or similar).
Desensitiser gels will be available for purchase in store for those who feel they may require more assistance with sensitivity.
Flossing or any harsh gum or teeth cleansing is not recommended in the first 48 hours.
Ensure you follow what you can and can’t eat in those first 2 days to ensure that your teeth do not stain. The teeth will be more porous at this time and stains easier.
After 2 days you may return to your normal routine. Your normal routine is what may have caused staining to begin with. Being more vigilant with avoiding staining foods or keeping to a decent dental routine, the whitening can last up to a year or so.

Home Care Whitening kits available over the counter or at your local supermarket are available and cost anywhere between $25-50 and do assist in keeping the teeth whiter for longer when you return to your normal routine.
Rinsing your mouth as often as you can when you imbibe staining foods and drinks is proven to be helpful in maintaining your whitening.

A trained consultant will know that Dental Australian Standards recommend no more than 4 full whitening sessions a year. (every 12 weeks). 3, if the client has dental issues such as heavy sensitivity and other dental issues.
We have Express Sessions available (2×15 minute sessions) for those who would like to have whitening more often than every 12 weeks. No less than 6-8 weeks will be allowed between appointments and will be assessed every appointment.
